Client will agree to the below mentioned terms, which are applicable on all reservations and services.
Clients may reserve sessions by telephone, e-mail, or in person and are final on the date scheduled. Any cancellation must be made by the client at least 24 hours before the originally scheduled session.
The aim of the ultrasound session is not medically diagnostic. We will not specifically search for anomalies in either mother or child. In such cases where Client is aware of, or has a premonition of any pre-existing abnormalities, she will advice the ultrasonographer thereof at first contact or, at the latest, before the start of the session. Despite the fact that the ultrasound is not meant to be diagnostic, in the event ultrasound practice "Kijk Nou!" (hereafter named 'Provider') detects any abnormalities, it will reserve the right to inform Client's pregnancy consultant with regards to the findings. Client must give consent by providing the name of the pregnancy consultant on the patient information form upon registration. In case of doubt, Provider also reserves the right to consult colleagues through transmission of image data via the internet. Because the aim of the session is not medical diagnostic, Provider or individual ultrasonographer cannot be held responsible for any abnormalities detected later. By agreeing at the onset of the consult, it is understood there is no manner of medical treatment agreement as stated in art. 7:446 BW (according to Dutch law). Moreover, Provider does not provide any medical advice or medical judgment, and the sole responsibility remains with the pregnancy consultant. Client has chosen ultrasound session on her own volition, and no statement given prior to, during, or after the session may be interpreted as a medical judgment. It is also understood by Client that the function of the ultrasonographer is solely to operate the ultrasound system and perform the requested scans. In the case of sexing scans, no guarantee can be given. Subsequently, Provider cannot be held responsible for any possible misjudgment of the gender of the baby.
Payment is accepted only in cash. Without payment, no CD, DVD, or photos can be given to Client. Prices for ultrasound sessions are subject to change without notice. Because the end result of the session strongly depends on the position and volatility of the baby - especially in the cases of 3D and 4D ultrasounds - no guarantees on these kinds of scans can be given. Provider obliges itself to try to achieve optimal results within the time limit of the chosen ultrasound session. No refunds can be granted.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., technical problems), Client will be contacted as soon as possible in order to schedule a new appointment. Cancellation by the client must be made at least 24 hours before the start of the scheduled session.
Provider cannot be held responsible for any damages or injuries caused to Client or others attending the session, by any cause whatsoever. Additionally, Provider cannot be held responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Client.
